about
This track explores the shallow elements of modern life, as someone tries to find success and themselves... "Midnight in LA" is a play on words for the darkness that falls over a person when they realize their biggest supporters, and so-called-friends, have always in fact been the biggest knife in their back. The mental anguish and initial anxiety and embarrassment can be a lot to handle when a person is trying their best, and realizes the doubt and jealousy that surrounds them. It's about moving past demoralizing people and finding your own way, rather than being dragged down by their shallow, insecure BS.
lyrics
Eyes of fire, skin so thick
You take my wheel, shift my stick
This manual will save us from the unwanted complacency
I'm on fire, sick of this
The Pain I feel makes me sick
I'll take it all get rid of it but
That might be the end of me
I was there... when you walked
Now don't come back
I'm aware that you talk
Behind my back
I'm inspired to make the switch
I'll take control, life's a bitch
I'll hop the wall convince them all that
You won't get the best of me
I'm on fire sick of this
The pain you bring makes me sick
I'll take it all get rid of it but
That will be the end of me
I was there... when you walked
Now don't come back
I'm aware that you talk
Behind my back
I was there... when you walked
Now don't come back
I don't care that you talk
Behind my back
